Magnus Arveng is the CEO and co-founder of Norwegian deep tech startup Ntention AS. Ntention is helping industry employees operate robotics, regardless of skill level. They do this by providing easy-to-understand visualizations of robots and their environment and using natural expressions such as hand gestures to control robotics instead of input devices like keyboards and joysticks. Magnus and the team have been working on various projects in the field of human-machine interaction, most notably a research collaboration with the NASA Haughton Mars Project (HMP) and relevant industry partners, developing interaction systems for spacesuits. Magnus is a sought-after speaker and has delivered several presentations over the past years including a TEDx Talk in Trondheim in 2022.
Founder of Bye Bye Plastic Bags and Youthtopia community
At just 22 years old, Melati is a full-time changemaker and has significantly impacted the world with her activism and leadership. Since the age of 12, Melati has led the youth-driven movement Bye Plastic Bags and started the people movement One Island One Voice and the social enterprise Mountain Mamas. Her efforts to create a sustainable future have earned her recognition on a global stage, including two TED talks and speaking engagements at the UN. In addition, Melati has been named one of FORBES’ top ten most inspiring women in the country and has been honored by TIME as one of the most influential teens in the world. She graduated high school one year early and has been recognized by CNN Heroes Young Wonders and FORBES 30 under 30.
Manager Offshore Wind Foundations at
Equinor
Stine is a civil engineer in marine engineering and has worked with offshore wind power for almost her entire career at Equinor. She will present how wind turbines work and what is needed to make them work out in the sea. She will tell and show examples from several of the large projects she has worked on at Equinor, especially the floating wind projects. Today Stine is the manager of all fixed-bottom wind turbines in Equinor.
Innovation and Industry Coordinator at Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium
Birte Hansen works as the Innovation and Industry Coordinator for the Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium (NORA). She has over ten years of international experience from the US, England, Norway, Denmark, China, and Singapore. Birte has a hons. BSc Hons in International Development and Mandarin from the University of Portsmouth, double MSc in Public Management and Social Development from Copenhagen Business School and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and she has a double Ph.D. from Roskilde University and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, specializing in Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation in China. In NORA, Birte coordinates NORA.startup which is NORA’s innovation platform, and she is currently working to develop NORAs strategic partner network
